Strong Schools in Strong Communities

Stow and Munroe- Falls are both tight knit communities with a deep love for the neighbors that surround them. Those values run into our schools- where I believe in ensuring that every student has access to the resources and support they need to succeed. I’ve seen how districts focusing on providing targeted support for students and staff tend to experience greater success. Equally important is the need for districts to invest in professional development, empower educators, and create a culture where staff feel valued and supported. In these environments, teachers are better equipped to engage and inspire students, fostering a cycle of growth and achievement.

Fiscal Responsibility

Effective Leadership and Governance

Having graduated from SMFHS, I spent much of my time interacting with our leaders and finding myself in leadership roles- such as Student Director in the Drama Department. Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and support staff, I better understood the daily realities that shape our students' experiences. This insider perspective, joined with my work experience in district, has also allowed me to recognize areas where the district excels and where improvements are needed—particularly in supporting our teachers and addressing the diverse needs of our student body. When we have effective leadership and governance, our students can soar with our support.

Continuing Progress

Fiscal Responsibility ensures that taxpayer dollars are used efficiently to best support student learning. By prioritizing sound budgeting, student needs, and long-term planning, the Board can help maintain quality education while avoiding unnecessary debt. My goal has always been and will always be transparency in where your taxpayer dollars are going. I want to ensure that resources are directed towards what matters most- classroom instruction, staff support, and student success.

Having worked with students from diverse backgrounds, I’ve seen how emotional and psychological well-being directly impacts academic success. Schools must be places that nurture the whole child—not just academically but socially and emotionally. When we see a student not as a child, but as a whole person, we are able to build on their developmental foundations. This is an ever changing time of life, but if we continue to make strides in how students are valued and seen- we can continue to support where they need it most. Continuing progress is the only way to ensure that all students have the opportunity to be whatever they dream of.
